Privacy Policy

Last updated 28 October 2026

BoltClock is published by Botanic Rain FZE, Business Centre, Sharjah Publishing City Free Zone, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates ("we"). This policy explains what the app collects and why.

What we collect

What we do not do

Who we share data with

Only service providers that run the app for us: Google Cloud and Firebase (hosting, sign-in, notifications, usage analytics), RevenueCat (subscriptions), Apple and Google (app stores and notifications). People you share a place with see its name and lightning status, never its exact position.

Lightning and weather data

Lightning data comes from NOAA's GOES satellites and warnings from the US National Weather Service, both US government public data.

Keeping and deleting data

We keep your data while you have an account. Lightning observations are kept for about two hours; lightning history per place is kept until you delete the place. You can delete your account and all its data at any time in the app under Account > Delete my account, or by emailing us.

Children

BoltClock is not directed at children under 13.
